Noel Gallagher si è esibito al fangoso festival dell’Isola di Wight (tormentato dalle piogge nei giorni scorsi, ma sotto il sole durante l’esibizione di Noel). Solita la scaletta molto ridotta per l’esibizione da Festival che si è chiusa con una Don’t Look Back In Anger che Noel ha voluto dedicare a qualche italiano nel pubblico..in vista della partita della serata….che però a posteriori possiamo dire non gli ha portato molta fortuna……

Oasis & Beatles for The London Olympic Games playlist

Bands such as The Beatles, Oasis and the Sex Pistols are set to feature on an 86-song playlist which will soundtrack the opening ceremony of this summer’s London Olympic Games, according to The Sun.

The newspaper claims the playlist has been leaked by a ‘music industry source’, but also quotes an Olympic spokesperson who refused to confirm the accuracy of the soundtrack, saying: “There is endless speculation about the content of the show Poker.de — much is simply guesswork — and we are keeping the rest of the show under wraps.”

If correct, songs such as ‘The Hindu Times‘ and  ‘Wonderwall‘ by Oasis, The Beatles’ ‘Hey Jude‘ and ‘She Loves You‘, and the Sex Pistols’ classic anti-establishment anthem ‘God Save The Queen‘ will feature along side other eclectic pieces such as  ‘Land Of Hope And Glory’, ‘Jerusalem’ and the Dambusters March.

Other bands included for the opening ceremony on July 27th according to the tabloid include Radiohead with ‘Creep‘, The Who, Led Zeppelin and The Jam.
