  • Johannesburg - Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher of the British super group Oasis have landed at OR Tambo International Airport.

The band is in South Africa to play at the Coca-Cola Zero Fest in Johannesburg on Friday April 10, and in Cape Town on Monday, April 13.

News24 user Debbie Yazbek witnessed the group land on Thursday morning, and said they were whisked off to a Sandton Hotel in a fleet of cars with their Specialised Services Group (SSG) security detail minutes later.

Reporters could not get close to the band and Oasis have, according to concert organisers BIG Concerts, declined interview requests.

The Coca-Cola Zero Fest has had controversy recently when it emerged that two bands, Bullet for My Valentine and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, had decided to pull out of the festival.

Ticketholders who no longer wish to attend the festival due to the withdrawal of the bands have until Friday April 17 2009 to claim a refund by presenting their ticket at any Computicket outlet.
