Zak Starkey lancia una nuova band

Zak Starkey, ex-batterista degli OASIS nonchè figlio di Ringo Starr ha messo in piedi una nuova band, i Penguins, con cui si è esibito a Londra qualche sera fa, insieme alla sua nuova ragazza alla voce e a sua figlia Tatia (ex spogliarellista) al basso.

Former Oasis drummer Zak Starkey played his first gig with his new band last week. The band are called Penguins and feature Starkey’s girlfriend Sharna Liguz on vocals and his daughter Tatia on bass.

Early demos of the band on their MySpace page indicate a more electronic, psychedelic sound, far removed from that of Oasis.

Starkey, who is the son of Ringo Starr, told NME: “The first night of many more good times to come, here’s hoping. Penguins is about having a good time, and that’s what we’re doing”.
